No longer unemployed!
Yes, that is my new job!
Yes, I am glad that I have a job.
& yes, it is good for me because I love frozen yogurt: way more than the average human being. {{fact}}
+I met both of the co-owners and they agreed to hire me right then & there. Quite the relief because both times I went in previously to ask if they were hiring and to bring in a resume, they told me that they had a huge amount of applicants at that store. Time to celebrate! Probably with some fro yo.. :] I start training next week. Woo!
one of the firsts.
I was browsing through random scholarships on cappex.com & found some pretty interesting ones. Who knew you could win money for sharing your first kiss story? Well, now you do. It's called the Kisstixx Scholarship and they are actually based out of Orem, Utah. Never would've guessed!
{first kiss}
“Do it! Do it! Do it!” Sitting in that crammed, colored booth in the corner, the last thing I wanted to do was kiss my newly found boyfriend. First of all, I had never kissed a boy before. Secondly, there were a bunch of people around and I did not feel like being their entertainment for the evening. And last of all, we were located in a lovely, greasy McDonald’s. Did this boy really care about my previously mentioned objections? Apparently not, because next thing I knew, there he was, in my face, kissing me before I had anytime to even realize what had just happened.
jealous? ;)
Reminded me of this video. Enjoy!

$3
Bath & Body Works is having a HUGE sale right now. A bunch of their lotions, sprays, soaps, etc., are only $3! I bought a few of them online because this scent is one of my favorites from there and I can't pass that up:
++Enter "THANKS20" in the discount/promo code blank when you're checking out and it'll take an additional 20% off (ends July 3). Can't beat that :]

UTAH is beautiful. The weather is amazing, even a tad chilly for an Arizona native. I'm living in University Villa for the Summer term and am still deciding where I want to live for the fall/winter semester. Here is a couple pictures of mi cuarto:
+Job hunting is going to be the death of me! 95% of the places I went into were not hiring, but of course they were still 'accepting applications'. Anyone who has ever worked a day in there life knows they really mean "no", but they have to say that or just feel bad for you. My two most promising jobs are currently Olive Garden and Yogurtland. I'd like to work at both, but if I could just get one that would be GREAT.
+Good news! Found a place that sells my Neurosonic drink :] YoZone sells them and it's like two blocks from my apartment. Looks like their website did not know the people of Provo, Utah aren't as behind as always assumed.
...Usually however, they are. Keep me updated with music people of Arizona pleeeaase :] Songs that were on the radio a month ago still haven't hit the stations here.
+I still haven't brought myself to change the clock in my car. It's the last bit of Arizona I have left! It doesn't get dark until past nine here so that is still going to take some getting used to. And I miss my bed, but I do not miss the 115 degree weather. Not one little bit!
Some pictures of my family and I in Sedona from the trip right before I left to Utah!
-father's day-
-big little brother-
-best cousins and siblings everrr-
{Love & miss them}

What I will miss about the 480.
+QT! While it is obviously not the thing I will miss MOST, I will miss this gas station terribly. It may kill me not having five within five miles of my house. Or one within any reasonable amount of miles in Provo for that matter.
One of the reasons why I love QT so much is for one drink specifically: Neuro Sonic.
I have trouble finding it. It is at the Walgreens by my house, and some other random stores. But I went online to lookup stores in Provo that sell it {yes, I am very aware of how pathetic that is} & this was the awful result...
:[
+FRO YO! I do know that there are a million and a half frozen yogurt places up in Provo. There is even a Provo Frozen Yogurt, but trust me, it is not the same. Provofroyo does not even compare to Mesafroyo. Believe me, I've tried it.
+FAMILY: I try not to really think about this part. They're my best friends and give me so much love and support. I'm going to miss going to Gecko with them and getting what was previously mentioned ((fro yo)). I'll miss them making me laugh and smile most of all :]
+FRIENDS: All of my marrieds! My not marrieds too of course. I expect you guys to see me if you're ever in the area & we'll do fro yo and lunch dates when I come down. Don't forget about me! {Skype, hey tell, text, call...be creative.}
[Stupid. But still funny]
++Stay tuned: things I do not miss about Arizona will be posted in a subsequent post later on.

'sup, how's it goin'?
Little bro 1.0 from Kylee Patterson on Vimeo.
My ten-year-old little brother likes to take my laptop and use it to entertain himself. This one is from like six months ago, but I just found it. I think my favorite part is my Mom in the background. He's too engrossed in himself to pay too much attention. Enjoy :]
Little bit of everything,
"Dear Kylee Patterson,
It is a pleasure to inform you that you have made the Dean's List of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for Spring semester 2011.
In recognition of your accomplishment, a Dean's List certificate suitable for framing is available at https://webapp4.asu.edu/deanslist/?acadProg=UGLA&term=2111
Note: The link above will provide a document in PDF format. You will need to have PDF viewing software installed (such as Adobe Reader on Windows) to successfully open and view the document.
Sincerely,
Quentin D. Wheeler, Ph.D.
Vice President and Dean"
I get to print out my own certificate and everything, awwwesome. It's even suitable for framing :]
I'm going to miss those three! {Lydia. Brigham. Jade} I've nannied Lydia for over a year, Jade for just a couple of short months and Brigham is Aubree's little one who is one week old as of yesterday! I went to visit her and he is so adorable and tiny. TEENY. What's the difference between tiny and teeny? I think I usually say teeny when i'm using it in the extreme form of tiny, but who knows?
I'm going to Sedona in a week with my Mom's side of the family & I'm excited that I'll be able to spend more time with them before I hit the road! I'm ready to relax and lay out in the sunshine.
+ I'm psyched about stopping at the outlet mall in Anthem on the way up there as well :) Last time I scored a cute pare of J.CREW shorts for a whopping $8 & a cute dress as well. I've been drooling over their summer line and am hoping to find some good stuff :] J.CREW & the Loft just about kill me. Seriously though, LOOK at this stuff. Here are some of my favorites...
& I'll leave you with this room. I think my favorite part is just the gray, orange, and yellow color scheme.

Just because,
I stumbled upon my old flickr account by accident and now I'm stuck reminiscing back to my old photo days. Here are a few of my favorites I just wanted to post for the heck of it. I cannot view a bunch of my pictures because I haven't decided whether or not I am going to renew my Pro subscription through flickr.
"Don't panic! You can only see 200 photos, but the others are safe & sound. You can see them if you renew."
---> hate.
You can see the pictures YOU took if you feed us more of yo' money. blah, blah, blah..
+Well here are some I can still see and thought I'd share with y'all:

Two weeks notice,
That's all folks!
In the mean time, however, here is my TO DO list..
++Visit Aub & her beautiful baby boy, Brigham. (English teach would've been proud: alliteration for those of you who slept through high school english grammar)
+Get new tires for Trixie (aka trix, mi carro).
+Decide what stays in AZ and what joins me in Provo. It's tough to part with some things! I'm more of a pack rat than I would like & have to force myself to say goodbye to pointless crap and nick-nacks quite often.
++Make a list of essentials I do not want to forget. And remember that there ARE stores in Utah because I will forget important items, it is inevitable.
++Say my goodbyes. Which I suck at.
++WRITE IN MY JOURNAL. Not just these two weeks obviously. It's just something I used to be SO good at. And now my consistency fails me. I have journals FILLED cover to cover from junior high and high school. Since graduating I have become quite the slacker & need to pick up said slack.
++I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot. It happens, but I've got two weeks to remember! The same amount of time it takes to quit a job. Like that situation, these two weeks will probably go by slowly since I'm so looking forward to the end of them. Except instead of dreading clocking in at work and putting in the time, I'm going to enjoy my last couple of weeks here in Arizona with my good friends and amazing family :)
