Can't forget about Utah...

Here are some pictures I took the other day. I drove around aimlessly until I found places I thought were just beautiful. Any other places I should go before I head back to the great desert of Arizona?

Arizona on my mind

I've been thinking about Arizona a lot lately. And since I leave in five days to go there, I want to post some beautiful pictures of the state I grew up in and things I miss about it.

Amazing sunsets:

Apparently I wasn't the only one...

Remember my little fainting spree?

Well apparently I was not the only one who passed out during the movie. Here is a clip from a local news story...

This girl's story about fainting sounds suuper similar to mine. At least I wasn't the only one!

[And a girl posted on FB that she fainted as well. ]

Well, enough about fainting I just love the part from the first one: "there have already been rumored reports of audience members fainting.." It's true!

Another GREAT pinterest find. First there is a layer of cookie dough. Then oreos (I used PB ones, but you can use the plain ones too). Lastly pour brownie batter over the top viola! More thorough directions here :]

You know those HUGE cupcakes they advertise on TV? Well, my roommate has one & it is SO fun to make different desserts out of it. We poked holes in the middle of the cake & poured carmel in. Soaked it up and tasted SO good! Also had Symphony bar pieces in the middle & on top, along with whipped cream and sprinkles. Tasted even better than it looks!

My go to meal: SO easy & SO cheap. Plus it's amazing when it's freezing cold outside. All that is in it is chicken broth, potatoes, carrots, celery, ground chicken, and random seasonings.  I use real chicken too, that is just all I had on hand at the moment.

Probably not the best idea to jump on the tramp after a big Thanksgiving meal.. but we did anyways.

The thing I missed most about Thanksgiving being away from home...

Aren't they the cutest??

hairs.

Saw this on pinterest & had to try it. Really simple! Buns are my favorite. Nice to switch it up a bit :]
1. put your hair in pigtails
2. tie them in a knot
3. bobby pin the ends in. That simple!

a few funnies

Yesterday, Instead of texting my friend Tyler "What'd ya dooo?" this weekend, my phone corrected me by asking, "What'd ya spoon?"

Perhaps still a relevant question?
Dang auto correct gets me every time...

[A conversation my friend had with her husband.. ]
Got him!

Another friend of mine's way of explaining Breaking Dawn to her boyfriend in picture form!
Is it weird that it totally makes sense to me? :]

falling and fainting

Alright guys, this may be long. And it may be boring, but I HAVE to write it down now because I don't want to forget it...

I went to see Breaking Dawn and I just loved it so much!

KIDDING!

Well, it was good, but that is not what was so important I have to write it down so I will not forget about it.

I didn't get to see the last twenty minutes or so of the movie, so let me know what you guys think of the ending!

I was sitting in my chair and started feeling really clammy. Then I started sweating. BUT, like five minutes before I was cold because the theatre was freezing! So that was weird. Then I started feeling nauseous and really light headed. Usually when I start feeling that way I just sit down for a second and then I'm better. But the problem was that I was already sitting down.

Backing up the story for a second:
My friend Allie who went with me was going to get popcorn before the movie started. K, I know that is totally random but it has a point in my story, i promise.  She came back with Twizzlers instead because the popcorn was a whopping seven bucks or something ridiculous. I don't like licorice so I didn't steal any from her. But, when I started feeling dizzy I figured anything was better than nothing and worth a shot. There weren't any left, and I had nothing in my bag I could eat. Then things started really fading out and I couldn't focus on the movie. There was a lot of blood in the birthing scene, so I turned my head and didn't watch because I thought maybe it wasn't the food, just all of the blood was making me queazy.

It was getting worse and worse and I had no idea what was going on or why I wasn't feeling better since I wasn't watching the blood anymore. Then I kept going in and out of consciousness kind of, trying to battle it and focus on the screen.  I had a minor anxiety attack just because I had no idea what was going on or what to do.

I couldn't tell if I was going to pass out or throw up. I decided I felt like I was going to hurl, so I got up and headed down the stairs and out of the theatre.  After I had turned the corner down the little walkway that takes you into the lobby, I fainted. Completely passed out and woke up extremely confused in the dark aisle of the theatre. I had no idea why I was laying on the theatre floor.  I just kept thinking I needed to make it to the bathroom, so I got back up and went out to the lobby. I started getting dizzy again, but I didn't want to look stupid so I figured if I just made it to the bathroom I would be fine and could figure everything out.  I didn't make it another ten steps before I fainted again. I woke up and again had no idea what was going on or where I was. Then I realize I had fainted again, but for some reason thought the whole thing was a dream.  Maybe I just HOPED it was a dream because I was in public and I just fell to the ground.

A few workers came and helped me just sit on the side of the hallway. They asked me a lot of questions: if I was okay, if I wanted any food, if I needed water, if I wanted them to get the person I came with, if I was diabetic, if I fainted a lot, and so many other ones I am sure. But I was so out of it for the first few minutes, still trying to figure out what had happened.

After drinking some water, one of the workers was like "You look so much better!" Apparently ALL of the color had drained out of my face. She said even my lips and cheeks were pale. And she kind of looked worried. Must have looked terrible! The workers said they thought I just tripped at first. But then they noticed I couldn't walk straight and was struggling, so they came over to help. What's weird is that they said I fell and then got right back up. But both times I passed out, it felt like I had been down for such a long time. You know how when you sometimes wake up from a nap and don't remember where you are? That's kind of what it felt like.

So many workers kept walking by and I felt so stupid. Oh look, it's the girl who kept falling over..maybe she is drunk or high or something. Okay, so no one said that. And maybe no one was thinking that, but it probably did look that way. A few of the workers stayed with me until the movie was over. Allie came out and didn't believe me at first. She asked why I didn't tell her and I don't really know why I didn't. I just didn't really know what to say since I had no idea what was going on at the time. She saved me by driving my car home and making sure I was alright!

I'm just glad I didn't faint on tile, or when I was walking down the stairs. Or even worse, right smack dab in the middle of the theatre where everyone watching the movie would have seen me.

So I don't know what exactly caused me to faint, because I never have before. I think it was a mix of a lot of things: taking my antibiotic without enough food, minor anxiety attack, and all of the blood. Who knows, but at least next time I will be better prepared!

This is what I felt like when I kept passing out...So surreal!

winner, winner

I love the layering jackets look. And this weather right now is PERFECT for it.

I'm moving back to Arizona for three months, and I'm really excited about it :)  There is so much for me to do there right now and I feel like it's where I need to be at this time. I've missed home, my grandma, my parents, my siblings, the freeways, the winter weather, the non-members, the fall and Christmas decorations, the sunsets, and so much more.

And back to the giveaway...

& the winner is...

Congrats Lauren! E-mail me :)

foot in mouth: take two

So you know those awkward moments when you are talking about someone and then that same person pops up out of nowhere? Or you make a racist joke and a person of that race turns out to be right behind you? Here comes a prime example of what I am talking about. Thanks again to my cute roommate for making my day.

After a church activity, a group of us decided we were hungry and were going to go get food! Panda Express was agreed upon. As we are walking into the Chinese restaurant my roommate exclaims...

"I love how the back of your car looks! It's so cute. Not like mine; it just looks like it has Asian eyes."

Lots of conspicuous looks from the Asian family seated directly in front of the door followed shortly.

Bad timing I tell ya.
Bad timing.

Great scene from a great movie:

Sun roof FAIL

So my roomate and I were driving down the road today and she starts freaking out. "Kylee LOOK! Look who it is!" Lo and behold there was a friend of ours in the car directly in front of us and for some reason she thought it'd be a great idea to open up the sun roof. Maybe to stand up and wave? Or perhaps she just wanted to yell hello? Who knows. Either way it was a bad idea.

Out of nowhere snow pours into the car and drenches me. I'm soaked and it took me a second to even realize what had happened. It had snowed that morning and she completely spaced the fact that the top of her car was completely covered.

So of course I had to call our friend that we saw driving to tell him about the whole ridiculous yet amusing situation.

"Paul, I have to tell you a funny story!"

"I'm pretty sure I just saw a funny story!"
[By the way this picture does not do justice the amount of snow that landed in the car, my hair, and my lap.]

Apparently we made his day. I seem to be doing that a lot lately for people. At least my unfortunate mishaps seem to cheer others up. The situation did give my roommate and I a good laugh as well. And yes, the whole retarded seal thing from my last post totally came into play.

Mt. Everest

So a few days ago I had a zit I swear was the size of Everest RIGHT smack in between my eyes.  Well, said zit was not just a normal pimple. I woke up with the whole area swollen huge, and even my left eye lid was puffy.  Gross, huh?

Well I went to the doctor and was prescribed Bactrim DS to get rid of it.  My MRSA has struck again. Anyone else heard of it or have it? It's similar to a really bad staph infection. The bacteria will infect open sores and basically amplify them and make them super swollen and painful. So this lovely little zit of mine went from being a normal annoyance to a zit-from-hell-on-crack.  Not a good combination. Bactrim is one of the few antibiotics that can actually treat against MRSA because others have no effect.

The worst part is once you have MRSA, you always have it.

Last time I ate an alkaline diet and drank kangen water to try and up the pH level in my body so it would be more apt to fight off the infection and bad bacteria.  It worked two years ago, so I am going to be trying it out again. Hopefully between that and the antibiotics, the MRSA will go away for a while at least.

And on a lighter note: a few of my favorites from pinterest this week!

no shave november

Does that crazy little saying apply to girls too?

Now wouldn't that be nice.

It snowed on the mountains today. And it was FREEZING when I went outside to go to work this morning. I wanted to drive around and enjoy every last bit of fall that I am going to get.

We played Christmas music at work today. It kind of just made me homesick, but it also made me that much more excited to go home for Christmas in a little over a month and a half! The warmer weather in Arizona will be a welcomed change; I can assure you :)

So many pretty colors EVERYWHERE.

I didn't retouch any of these pictures by the way... No need!

For some reason I really want to have a picnic in there!

Don't you just love that fence? It's right around the corner from my apartment and it's my favorite :)
