Mr. Snuggles

Meet Mr. Snuggles:

Aka: new bf

First thing I thought when I walked into our apartment and saw this HUGE bear was that it had to go. THEN... I had the brilliant idea that it definitely needed to be left on someone's front door as a joke. So what do the roommate and I do? Doorbell ditch people of course! And we picked up a couple of friends along the way who wanted to join in on the childhood fun & night of complete immaturity.
Worth it?
You bet.

I wish we would have thought to film people's reactions sooner! We would prop Mr. Snuggles up against the door so when people opened up, it would fall right into their apartment. SO funny. "Whaaat the?" was probably the most common reaction. Got plenty of good laughs and some people thought it was a gift and tried to steal the bear...Don't worry one of the guys would run back in and snatch the bear so we could continue on!

For our last apartment we were going to do one of the guys wanted to try something new... The reaction was a cold and quick shut of the door. BUT we got a huge kick out of it, so I guess that's all that matters :]

Happy Monday tomorrow everyone :]

I don't know where he comes up with this stuff. Maybe it's only funny at like 2 in the morning. Anyone else have little brothers like this?

short & not so sweet.

"Excuse me miss, but your booty is about to fall out of your shorts."

Yes, I did in fact say the above statement. No, I did not think anyone besides my friend in the car beside me heard. We were driving around Provo and a girl on the back of a motorcycle had the shortest shorts on that I have ever seen. [And I went to ASU, so that's quite impressive actually]. Lo and behold, the sun roof was OPEN. I don't know if the subsequent dirty looks from the girl were by chance or if she did indeed hear me. WHOOPS, my bad.

So is it crazy that I love that machine? I HATE walking/running on the treadmill. But for some reason I absolutely LOVE the stairmaster. Sometimes it kicks my booty, but that's the point right? What machines do you guys like at the gym for a good cardio workout?

life lesson

So yesterday was interesting...

+It started off at 8AM when my alarm clock went off so that I could get ready for work. I am used to 9-1 being the opening shift at Yogurtland. I showed up, gave the lead crap for being late, only to realize that I was NOT scheduled to work at all. I was SUPPOSED to be at 24-Hour Fitness for my second day of work. After the other worker asked if I was actually scheduled, all I said was "ah, crap!", and ran out the door, to my car, and raced home to change for my other job. Thank goodness my supervisor at Kid's Club was super cool about it because that would have been pretty awful. I made it there by 9:20 so it wasn't TOO bad. Still, I have never been late to a day of work in my life and I couldn't believe I had to be on my second day of finally-done-with-training shifts. Great impression, huh?

It gets better.

+ When I first moved up to Provo I was desperate for a job. I applied to be a secret shopper and at the end they offered me a couple of free magazines. I didn't want them, but caved after they "insisted". Pushy, pushy people. NEVER again though.
+ I got a call from a random number asking about my magazine order. After telling the lady I wanted it to be cancelled because I didn't want them in the first place, I was informed that it was her first day and I would have to speak to her supervisor because she could not do that. Supervisor #1: aka supervisor del diablo. She started off by saying I had a three year contract thing of some-sort, which through me for a LOOP because I had never even heard of the magazines she was talking about or the company's name. I told her that when the secret shopper company offered them to me, they said I would be notified before any actual payment so that I would be able to cancel since I had no intention of paying for them. She told me I was "playing dumb" (yes those were her exact words) and that all she could do was lower the amount of time to two years. This would not do. After being chewed out by an awful customer service lady, (k, so I had a little bit of attitude as well at this point, but she asked for it) she told me she would have to call me back. I said that was not going to happen and asked to speak to HER supervisor. Supervisor #2 aka el diablo segundo. I decided to be really polite since this new supervisor had not yet been rude to me and explain the situation because I was sure that this whole thing was in fact, ridiculous. After explaining she rambled on with a lot of rude comments as well and ended with the fact that she would cancel the "order", as if it had ever been placed.
+It's funny now, but at the time it blew my mind people could even frustrate me like that. I've dealt with a lot of annoying, ignorant, and frustrating people throughout my 2.5 years of retail, but these two took the cake. Usually people like that don't phase me, but this was a whole new level. What happened to good customer service anyhow? No clue. The whole time I was wondering in the back of my head if this was some sort of "cold call" or if I was being punked. Good news: Ashton and any cruel radio announcer were nowhere to be found.
Moral of the story: NEVER accept free magazines. Or anything of the sort.

It's all over.

Today I saw the end of it all! & yes, I did tear up a little bit. Seriously though, LOOK how little they were!
NOW:

I'm really sad it's over. Crazy stuff. I remember staying locked in my room until I read each book cover to cover when a new one came out! I've read them each at least a few times and I am tempted to read some over again before school starts in a month. So long Hogwarts!

+Just spent 200 bucks on books for school. Thank goodness for renting or it would have been over $500! If any of you use Chegg to order books, type "618BD9A1" in the promo code spot to save a whopping 10%.

one of the firsts.

I was browsing through random scholarships on cappex.com & found some pretty interesting ones. Who knew you could win money for sharing your first kiss story? Well, now you do. It's called the Kisstixx Scholarship and they are actually based out of Orem, Utah. Never would've guessed!

{first kiss}

“Do it! Do it! Do it!” Sitting in that crammed, colored booth in the corner, the last thing I wanted to do was kiss my newly found boyfriend. First of all, I had never kissed a boy before. Secondly, there were a bunch of people around and I did not feel like being their entertainment for the evening. And last of all, we were located in a lovely, greasy McDonald’s. Did this boy really care about my previously mentioned objections? Apparently not, because next thing I knew, there he was, in my face, kissing me before I had anytime to even realize what had just happened.

jealous? ;)

Reminded me of this video. Enjoy!

What I will miss about the 480.

+QT! While it is obviously not the thing I will miss MOST, I will miss this gas station terribly. It may kill me not having five within five miles of my house. Or one within any reasonable amount of miles in Provo for that matter.
One of the reasons why I love QT so much is for one drink specifically: Neuro Sonic.
I have trouble finding it. It is at the Walgreens by my house, and some other random stores. But I went online to lookup stores in Provo that sell it {yes, I am very aware of how pathetic that is} & this was the awful result...

:[

+FRO YO! I do know that there are a million and a half frozen yogurt places up in Provo. There is even a Provo Frozen Yogurt, but trust me, it is not the same. Provofroyo does not even compare to Mesafroyo. Believe me, I've tried it.

+FAMILY: I try not to really think about this part. They're my best friends and give me so much love and support. I'm going to miss going to Gecko with them and getting what was previously mentioned ((fro yo)). I'll miss them making me laugh and smile most of all :]

+FRIENDS: All of my marrieds! My not marrieds too of course. I expect you guys to see me if you're ever in the area & we'll do fro yo and lunch dates when I come down. Don't forget about me! {Skype, hey tell, text, call...be creative.}

[Stupid. But still funny]

++Stay tuned: things I do not miss about Arizona will be posted in a subsequent post later on.

'sup, how's it goin'?

Little bro 1.0 from Kylee Patterson on Vimeo.

My ten-year-old little brother likes to take my laptop and use it to entertain himself. This one is from like six months ago, but I just found it. I think my favorite part is my Mom in the background. He's too engrossed in himself to pay too much attention. Enjoy :]

+Make sure you watch Little brother 1.1 afterwards. It gets even better!
