All of the winners go country dancing.

Okay, so I may or may not go country dancing... a lot.  And kind of love it! Even if 90% of the boys there are kind of super weird, i'm fine with it.

I don't know if it's the awkward looks, creepy approaches, or terrible dancing that makes me love it so much? Perhaps its a combination of all that awesome-ness.

I want to document my top four favorite stories from the past couple of years. Might just make you want to start going too ;)

Counting down, starting with number four!

4.  Dancing with a boy who fails to look at me the entire dance. I want to emphasize "entire". He talked alright, but only would look past me towards my left ear. Odd, right?  It gets better.

3.  One time I noticed a complete weird-o staring at me. Not in a flattering way. Like an "i'm-totally-checking-you-out-and-am-coming-to-get-ya" type of way.  I noticed said stare and deliberately walked briskly over to my purse and grabbed my phone. I continued to pretend like I was texting someone in order to avoid dancing with the above-mentioned weirdy [weird-ee]. Did he take the hint?  I'm afraid not.

2.  Once I was dancing with a guy who was...well, not the most apt for country dancing. Or probably any style of dancing or moving in general for that matter...  I awkwardly hopped and bounced around to the music. And as a result of his "new move" he wanted to try out, I ended up with a bloody lip from him knocking me in the face with his elbow.

1. So I know a few people who have ended up dating someone special after meeting at country dancing.  I figured that I had been going long enough that it was my turn for such an opportunity.  I told myself that whoever asked me to dance next was my soul mate. Super dramatic and hopeful right? RIGHT.  I got poked on the shoulder and turned around to see my one true love! What was he like you might ask... well, let me tell you. He was about two inches shorter than me, a terrible dancer (similar to the above "hopper and bouncer" mentioned in number 2), and about 35 years old.  This Asian man did not say one word to me the whole dance. I asked him questions and he would simply nod and look away. We'd make quite the pair don't you think? ;)

Now, after reading about all of that fun aren't you tempted to go yourself? :)

sister's skinnys

I have only gotten my toes done once in my life, and that is because my little sister took me for my birthday last year. I will NEVER forget this day.

We were driving home and she mentioned how she couldn't get her pants to roll back down from when she shoved them up for the pedicure.  I just laughed and shook the statement off.

We get home and she is in her room and starts freaking out because her pants are literally STUCK on her calf. She can't budge them off and they are starting to cut off her circulation.

I go in to try and help her, but to no avail.

My mom runs in and tries to help also, but they just will NOT budge.

My sister curses her muscular calves and is starting to panic because they're now hurting.

My mom has her unbutton her pants and we try and pull them off from the other way so we have more material to hold onto and pull by. This STILL doesn't work and at this point i'm laughing so much I can barely muster any strength to try and help pull them off.

My ten-year-old brother comes in the doorway to see what the big deal is and my sister yells at him  "GET OUUUT!" since she's in her undies.

My mom starts freaking out and my sister is panicking.  She is trying to grip onto something because we are pulling her pants so much that she keeps creeping towards the end of the bed. She has nothing really to hold onto besides her mattress so she keeps trying to grip it with her arms spread out to the side of her.  (I meanwhile am trying my hardest to not find the whole situation as funny as it is so I can be of some help.) My mom isn't thinking clearly and yells, "Kylee! This isn't funny! WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!"

That did it for me. I was done. I fell onto the ground laughing hysterically. A couple of minutes later-no thanks to my help- the pants FINALLY came off. And we all sat on the ground laughing until we couldn't hardly breathe.

Best ten minutes of my life.

Embarrassing story time.

So one question people see to always ask, but I can never think of an answer is: "What is your most embarrassing moment?" I feel like I do stupid things all of the time, but I usually just roll them off and forget about them unless I write them down.

It is not necessarily crucial that I write this story down because there is no possible way I could ever forget it; however, I feel like you guys may or may not get a kick out of my recollection of a very embarrassing few minutes of my life.

For the sake of anonymity, this story is about a boy I will refer to as Jack.  Jack and I had been hanging out for a couple of weeks. Went on a couple of dates, but were not in the slightest "dating".  I tagged along on a road trip to Utah so I could visit some of my close friends and my cousin up there.  After the drive home Jack drove me to my aunt's house since my family was there as well.  We walked into a room inclusive of my WHOLE mom's side of the family as well as some of the in-laws' as well.  He met my grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents- the whole dang family.  (And we weren't even dating. Poor guy.)

After Jack left, my dad of all people decides to voice this observation aloud for all those around us to hear: "Well, looks like you guys had some fun on your trip home".  I asked what he was talking about and my uncle chimed in, "Yea, I thought that was a hickey on his neck!"

I can assure you I turned more red than any deep shade of red you have ever seen! My family continued to tease me for a few minutes until the football game took on the spotlight, which I can assure you I had no complaints about.  Talk about embarrassing right? I think the worst part was that it wasn't ME with the hickey so I looked like the little temptress. Great way to appear in front of the grandparents, right?

Can anyone top it? If so, I'd love to hear!

a few funnies

Yesterday, Instead of texting my friend Tyler "What'd ya dooo?" this weekend, my phone corrected me by asking, "What'd ya spoon?"

Perhaps still a relevant question?
Dang auto correct gets me every time...

[A conversation my friend had with her husband.. ]
Got him!

Another friend of mine's way of explaining Breaking Dawn to her boyfriend in picture form!
Is it weird that it totally makes sense to me? :]

Sun roof FAIL

So my roomate and I were driving down the road today and she starts freaking out. "Kylee LOOK! Look who it is!" Lo and behold there was a friend of ours in the car directly in front of us and for some reason she thought it'd be a great idea to open up the sun roof. Maybe to stand up and wave? Or perhaps she just wanted to yell hello? Who knows. Either way it was a bad idea.

Out of nowhere snow pours into the car and drenches me. I'm soaked and it took me a second to even realize what had happened. It had snowed that morning and she completely spaced the fact that the top of her car was completely covered.

So of course I had to call our friend that we saw driving to tell him about the whole ridiculous yet amusing situation.

"Paul, I have to tell you a funny story!"

"I'm pretty sure I just saw a funny story!"
[By the way this picture does not do justice the amount of snow that landed in the car, my hair, and my lap.]

Apparently we made his day. I seem to be doing that a lot lately for people. At least my unfortunate mishaps seem to cheer others up. The situation did give my roommate and I a good laugh as well. And yes, the whole retarded seal thing from my last post totally came into play.

got that bug!

Alright guys, I have been blowing my nose 24-7 for the past two days. Got some sort of bug...  For some reason my nose decided to be runny & stuffy at the same time. I've been going through toilet paper like crazy because we have no tissues. But the trash can fills up super fast, which tends to get annoying.  The only solution that comes to mind is this strategy... Think it'll work?

---So I've been stuck at home and am sick of doing school work.  I've been needing a good laugh and then I stumbled upon this awesome video on my friend Keisha's blog. I want a baby this animated! Pleeeaaase.

hoping for hope

HOW TO HOPE:
Devise a plan. You cannot just sit around and wonder why things do not get better. You must figure out a way to get out of your rut. Once you have hope, you need to do something with it. Make sure your plan includes you ending up happy. (e-how.com)

& a couple of pictures from hiking the Y for the first time the other day!
When you're hiking, it helps to know that there is someone at the end waiting for you even if you're slow & take a lot longer to finish, because it's motivation to actually get there. But it helps so much to have someone going up the mountain and trail right along side you. Just like with the Savior in our lives. Have a great weekend :]

& something to hopefully brighten your day...
